Kiln casting is a form of creative and glass art, developed in Nothern Bohemia district. Major pioneers of this art is the famed pair artists LIBENSKÝ – BRYCHTOVÁ , who worked i.a. at the Glass Art School in Železný Brod where the founder and owner of this firm – RUDOLF BAŇAS – studied. After studies he gained experience and practice in many branches of glass production. This experience helped him during foundation and development of the firm. One of the best world experts specialized in glass technology Ing. RADKO PŘIBÍK contributed to development of technological methods during the firm startup. His knowledge from work in the Glass Research Institute had significantly influenced developement of the firm at the beginning. Production was started in February 2002 after a year of preliminary work.

Presently we produce leadless glass for kiln casting in colour scale more then 100 colours and tones. Colours and shades were developed gradually primarily according to customers requests and we will continue in this trend in the furure. We produce the glass for kiln casting in one-pot melting furnace, the pot capacity is about 300 kg of glass. The result of one melt is half-finished product for other processing – 120 blocks in the size 20x20x2,5cm and weight of about 2,5kg.

In the year 2012, we also developed low-expansion glass, so-called EX glass, especially suitable for exterior installations of glass objects. Until now, the production of objects from this exterior glass has been carried out by the Lhotský company, which has the exclusivity for processing EX glass, thanks to long-term cooperation and participation in the development of our glasses. From 2021, you can also order and process EX glass.
